Hi, i’m Maksym Semeniuk

A composer and sound designer specialising in music and sound for film, television and visual media.

I recently graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London, with a BA in Music and Sound Design for Film and Interactive Media. My work combines original composition, sound design, recording, editing and mixing.

Alongside composition, I have experience working across the wider post-production process, including sound design, dialogue and audio editing, recording, mixing and music editing.

Within my Portfolio, you will find one of my proudest projects. This was a student film Get Even, which premiered at the BFI. I composed the original score and worked across the sound design, recording, editing and mixing process. I led the sound design team, working closely with the director to develop and refine the soundtrack throughout the production.

I have also created independent scoring and sound-design projects for short films, animations and visual media, using these projects to experiment with different genres, techniques and approaches to storytelling.

Beyond Film

Music has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m a Grade 8 pianist and have studied the fundamentals of music pedagogy.

I’m particularly inspired by film music, orchestral writing, sound design and the way music can completely change the way an audience experiences a scene.

I’m always looking for new projects, collaborations and opportunities to work with filmmakers, directors, editors and creative teams.
